His Holiness Received President Emmanuel Macron at the Papal Residence in St. Mark's Cathedral
Today, His Holiness received President Emmanuel Macron of France, accompanied by his wife Brigitte Trogneux-Macron, at the Papal residence in St. Mark’s Cathedral, Abbasiyya. President Macron is currently visiting Egypt and has been welcomed by President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi and both visited the Christmas Cathedral of the new capital, yesterday, January 28, 2019.
His Holiness, with H.G. Bishop Yolius, H.G. Bishop Eklimandous, and individuals from the papal office, accompanied President Macron on a tour through St. Mark’s Cathedral and St. Peter’s Church (Al-boutrosia) in which the President and his wife saw the marks left by the aftermath of the church bombing that took place on December 11, 2016.
