Holy Synod Crisis Management Committee urges all Copts to leave Libya due to security concerns
The Crisis Management Committee of the Holy Synod issued a statement urging all Copts working in Libya to return to Egypt out of concern for their security. Here’s the statement:
"Proceeding from the patriotic role of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church and its spiritual and humanitarian responsibility, and at the instruction of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the Church urges Egyptians in Libya to return to Egypt as soon as possible for the safety of their lives. Egypt is capable of taking care of its citizens, protecting them and providing them a decent life."
